Muhlenberg College, a liberal arts college in Allentown, Pa., is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Sports Information Intern for the 2008-09 school year. This is a 10-month position starting August 1, 2008 and ending May 31, 2009.

 The intern will assist the Sports Information Director with publicity efforts for the College's 22-sport Division III varsity intercollegiate program. Primary responsibilities will include: designing and writing brochures, game programs and newsletters; updating the College Web site; reporting results to local and regional media; assisting with game day operations and compiling team statistics and records.

A bachelor's degree, strong writing and communication skills and a solid understanding of sports and sports statistics are required. Also required is a willingness to work nights and weekends. Previous experience in sports information and knowledge of desktop publishing and HTML are preferred.

The intern will be paid on the basis of submitted hours and receive full benefits. Gross earnings are projected at $1,365 per month. To apply, send a resume, writing samples and the names and phone numbers of at least three references to:
